Samsung recently launched a budget smartphone for the Japanese markets, the Galaxy Active Neo. This new handset will arrive in the markets coupled with NT DoCoMo, and the launch will occur sometime in November.
Design & Features
This new phone will run on the Android 5.1 Lollipop Operating System. It will feature a 4.5” WVGA resolution display, which will also possess the Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It is powered by a 64 bit Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with a 2 GB RAM.
It is an IP68 certified phone, which makes it dust and water resistant. It is also resistant to humidity, vibration, solar radiation, transport and other shocks. It will be available in Camo White, and Solid Black colors
Camera and Storage
The phone will come with a 8 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front camera. The in-built storage capacity would be 16 GB, which can be expanded to 128 GB with a microSD card. It offers various connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC.
The phone will operate using a 2200 mAh battery. It also comes with a battery conserving mode, which will help reserve battery for future.
Currently, the phone will be launched at JPY 20,000 which is approximately INR 10,800. It will be launched only for the Japanese markets. Whether it will come to other markets remains a question.
